Introduction

- ลง Ubuntu 11.04 ใหม่ที่ Upgrade มาจนพัง เพราะพยายามทำ Rotate Cube ใน CCMS แต่คราวนี้มี Backup ข้อมูลครบ
Impression
- Installation ทำมาดีมาก ผู้ใช้ไม่ต้องมีความรู้มากก็ลงได้ ไม่ต้องรู้จัก Disk Partition ฯลฯ
- User Interface ใหม่อาจยุ่งยากแต่มี Potential ที่ดี
Post Installation
Thai language
- ทำง่ายมาก เลือกปุ่ม Stop ที่เป็นรูปวงกลมมีขีดด้านบนขวามือสุด เลือก System Settings
- เลือก Keyboard เลือก Tab Layout กด Add เพื่อเพิ่ม Keyboard Layout แบบ Thailand
- จากนั้นคลิกปุ่ม Options... เลือก Key(s) to change layout มี key ให้เลือกหลายตัว เมื่อก่อนจะพยายามเพิ่ม key ` เพื่อให้เหมือนกับ Windows โดยการติดตั้งโปรแกรมที่มีในเว็บต่างๆ แต่พบว่าไม่ค่อย Compatible กับ Ubuntu รุ่นนี้ เลยเลือกปุ่ม Menu เป็นปุ่มสลับภาษา
Dual Screen Setup
- เนื่องจากผมใช้สองจอจึงต้อง Set นิดหน่อย
- Nvidia Driver ได้รับการติดตั้งมาให้แล้ว ผิดกับรุ่นเก่าๆ
ดูได้จาก System settings>NVIDIA X Server Settings
- Run "sudo nvidia-settings" in terminal and config Nvidia dual monitor
- เลือก X Server Display Configuration
- เลือกจอที่มีคำว่า Disabled เลือก Configure...
- เลือก Separate X screen(requires x restart)
- ลากจอเล็กมาไว้ด้านหน้าจอใหญ่เหมือน Layout
- เลือก Resolution ของจอให้เหมาะกัน
- เลือก Save to X Configuration File
- Boot is not possible then I have to go back to 10.10 I think the system is not stable. Or I forget to install the screen driver
